Internship Opportunities

Our internship program is designed to give you the opportunity to work in a public accounting firm and to give you a true experience of what day to day responsibilities for Associate level professionals are while working with all levels of management throughout the firm. Our goal is not only for you to learn valuable skills throughout your internship, but also to convert all interns to Associate hires after their internship is completed.

Our interns have the opportunity to learn, innovate and succeed by sharing knowledge all while working together and embracing diversity in the workplace. Our culture is centered on promoting a healthy work environment and we encourage our interns to grow in both their professional and personal development skills.

Interns are provided a mentor throughout the entirety of their internship as they begin to build their brand in the workplace. Interns also go through our newly created program, called DEVELOP at WP, which is our intern development program created to educate and encourage interns as they cultivate relationships and grow in their professional development skills.

The goal of the DEVELOP program is to:

  • Provide opportunities to expand in your leadership skills
  • Network with peers
  • Engage with firm leaders

There are countless other ways for interns to stay involved, some of which include: attend lunch ‘n learns, participate in the firms wellness program FitWhit and volunteer and ask to be on committees to name a few. We believe our interns have the opportunity to set themselves up for a life-long career at Whitley Penn and we are ready to be with you every step of the way as you discover your potential.
