Whitley Penn's Kyle Willey Selected for Leadership Plano Class 43

Plano, TX (August 5, 2026)

Kyle Willey, Whitley Penn Plano Audit Partner and Market Leader, has been selected for Leadership Plano Class 43, the Plano Chamber of Commerce’s flagship leadership development program. Leadership Plano brings together professionals from a variety of industries who are committed to expanding their leadership capabilities while gaining a greater understanding of the communities they serve.

Over the course of the nine-month program, participants will engage with local leaders and organizations while exploring topics that influence Plano’s continued growth, including education, economic development, government, public safety, healthcare, and nonprofit services.

Willey has more than 19 years of public accounting experience working with both publicly traded and privately held companies, in a variety of industries including: financial services, manufacturing, distribution & logistics, retail, professional services companies and employee benefit plans. His experience is highly concentrated in financial institutions, including commercial banks, retail banks, bank holding companies, and savings and loan associations.

Willey is a member of the Texas Bankers Association (TBA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), and Financial Executives International (FEI), where he also serves as his firm’s representative. He previously served as Chairman of the Risk Management Association (RMA) for North Texas and Chairman of the TXCPA Financial Institutions Conference. In addition, he serves on the Texas Tech University Accounting Advisory Council and is the University’s Audit Recruiting Lead. Willey is a former Finance Committee Member of the Plano Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the boards of the Plano YMCA and the Jennifer Friedman Ackerman (JFA) Foundation. He is also actively involved in mentoring Texas Tech University students and finance professionals through FEI.

Willey received his BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
