TXCPA Recognizes Whitley Penn’s Zach Bischler as a Rising Star in Accounting

Whitley Penn Audit Manager, Zach Bischler, has been named a recipient of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) Rising Star Award, a prestigious recognition honoring emerging leaders in the accounting profession across Texas.
The TXCPA Rising Star Award celebrates CPA professionals age 40 and under who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, professional achievement and commitment to their communities. Recipients are typically licensed for ten years or less and are recognized for their active involvement in TXCPA, the accounting profession, and civic and charitable organizations.

Bischler has audit and assurance experience working with privately held companies and advising clients on accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (US GAAP). He serves a diverse range of clients across industries including financial institutions, energy, construction, dealership groups, and convenience retail chains.
Bischler was previously a member of the Whitley Penn NextGen Council and worked with up-and-coming employees from across the firm to harvest ideas to improve a wide variety of areas in the firm. Bischler is a graduate of the 2023-2024 Leadership Odessa Class with the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Petroleum Accountants Society of the Permian Basin and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Bischler is currently completing a professional secondment program in Australia through Whitley Penn’s relationship with HLB International. Bischler earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Kansas.
