Larry Autrey Named to D CEO’s Dallas 500

Larry Autrey, Whitley Penn Executive Chairman, has been named to D CEO’s Dallas 500 List for 2026.

The Dallas 500 is a special edition that profiles the most influential leaders in North Texas, across a wide spectrum of industries. It’s produced by the editors of D CEO, the award-winning business title of D Magazine Partners. Unprecedented in scope, the publication represents months of research, interviews, and conversations with extensive, high-level contacts in the regional business community. Dallas 500 goes far beyond corporate bios to reveal the personal side of the leaders who drive the North Texas economy and make it such a vibrant place to work and live.

Through his leadership, the firm experienced significant growth to near 900 employees with nine offices throughout Texas and New Mexico.

Autrey was formerly on the Cook Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees, the Texas Land Conservancy Board, a Former Board Member for the Community Enrichment Center, and was a Former Chairman for the Community Foundation of North Texas. He is the Former Chairman of the Board and Former Vice Chairman for the ACH Child & Family Services Foundation, Former National Advisory Board Member for BBVA Compass, Former Chairman of the Tarrant County United Way – Alexis de Tocqueville Society, Former Chairman of the Fort Worth Chapter Young Presidents Organization, Former Chairman of The Bridge Youth Shelter, a Former Chairman of the World President’s Organization and is a Former Board Member & Assistant Treasurer for the Child Study Center of Fort Worth among many other Board roles for non-profits in the areas of land conservation, children’s advocacy groups and the organizations supporting health and the arts to name a few.

Within the accounting profession, Autrey is the former Day Chairman for the Major Firms Group, former Global Board Member for Nexia International, former National Advisory Board member for BBVA Compass, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA).

Autrey earned his B.B.A in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University Autrey earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in Analytics from ACU. He was recognized as the Texas Tech University Lyons School of Accounting’s 2024 Distinguished Alumnus as well as received the Abilene Christian University Distinguished Alumni Citation in 2025.
