Justin Blok, Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Services (FLVS) Partner, and Walt Bratic, Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Services Managing Director have been named to IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals 2023, a list that identifies leading patent service professionals around the world.

Blok is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with more than 19 years of experience working with both public and private clients. He has served as a testifying expert in federal, district and state court as well as in private arbitrations involving economic, accounting, valuation, and strategic issues. He has testified in a variety of litigation matters involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, theft of trade secrets, breach of contract, business valuation, bankruptcy, fraud, business interruption, personal injury, wrongful death, and wrongful termination. Blok has testified on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in the analysis and determination of economic damages, including lost profits, reasonable royalties, price erosion, un-just enrichment, diminution of value and insolvency analyses, valuation, and pre- and post-judgment interest.

Blok earned a B.B.A. from Baylor University in Finance and Risk Management and Insurance, M.B.A. from the University of Houston and Masters of Accounting from the University of North Carolina.  He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, Licensing Executives Society, and Houston Intellectual Property Law Association. Blok has also served as a guest lecturer at the University of Houston Law School, Baylor University School of Law, and South Texas School of Law.

Bratic is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a CLP, Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is  a CFE with more than 40 years of experience serving a broad spectrum of clients in litigation, licensing,  and valuations both domestically and internationally. He has testified in federal, district, bankruptcy, and state court, ICC, ITC and AAA proceedings and has served as a court appointed expert and examiner. Walt earned a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. Bratic served as a guest lecturer on Lanham Act and trade secrets damages at the University of Houston Law School. He has routinely been recognized by IAM 1000 as a leading patent damages expert. He has also lectured on intellectual property licensing, valuation and damages at many industry and government conferences in North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
