Randy Gregg has extensive experience advising clients on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) issues, as well as the implementation of enterprise-wide internal control programs for public and privately held companies.
Randy has more than 31 years of audit and assurance experience with a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, & logistics, nonprofit, technology, real estate, hospitality, and global public and private companies. In addition, Randy is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Independence verification which ensures compliance with the independence rules, regulations, interpretations, and rulings of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Randy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants (NMSCPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and is a founding member of the Dallas Chapter of the Private Directors Association (PDA), and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). Prior to joining Whitley Penn, Randy was a partner at BDO USA, LLP.
Randy received his BBA in Accounting from the Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.
