John Williamson Re-elected to Board of Governors for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA),- Dallas Chapter
Dallas, TX (June 10, 2019) – Whitley Penn is pleased to announce that John Williamson, Risk Advisory Services Senior Manager in the Dallas office, has been re-elected to the Board of Governors for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Dallas Chapter.
Williamson, CPA, CIA, CISA has served on the Board of Governors for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Dallas Chapter since July 2016 and will continue his term until June 2021. As part of the Board of Governors, he advocates for the internal audit profession, internal control optimization, and best practices in corporate governance. He is a frequent speaker on risk advisory matters for professional audiences, including IIA conferences and continuing professional education events.
Williamson received his B.M. from Southern Methodist University, M.S. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, and M.M. from Rice University.
