“I definitely couldn’t have done it without the support of my husband. He is the one that got me into distance running in 2014 and supported me when I decided to make Boston my goal after running my first full marathon in 2017,” shared Beabout.

Sahely qualified at the Mountains to Beach in 2018 with a time of 3:23:58. She trained with two friends for the Mountains to Beach race and then decided to do the Boston and New York City Marathons together.

Sahely is part of a running group of 20 or so strong women. “We cheer each other on every step of the way,” Sahely continues, “My small group of 5 or 6 that live in and around my neighborhood not only serve as my training partners, but they are also my therapy! We all help each other through many of life’s challenges, not just running!”
