Robert Pike Selected to Join Camp Fire First Texas Board of Directors

Fort Worth, TX (January 25, 2019) – Whitley Penn Tax Senior Manager, Robert Pike, has been selected to join Camp Fire First Texas Board of Directors for a 3-year term (2019-2021).

Pike has more than nine years of public accounting experience serving clients in a variety of tax and consulting issues with a focus on partnership and corporate taxation.  He also works with private wealth individuals and middle-market businesses in a wide range of industries including real estate and construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, healthcare, wholesale/retail, service, and financial industries. Pike earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.

Pike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the Fort Worth Chapter of the TSCPA. He also serves on the board for the Ridglea North Neighborhood Association and is a member of the Ridglea Country Club Finance Committee.

About Camp Fire First Texas

Camp Fire First Texas Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers whose responsibility to the council is for policy, administration, strategic planning, financial stability, and support of Camp Fire’s programs. The board has 32 members who are elected at the annual meeting for three-year terms, with one-third of the board being elected each year. The Executive Committee of the board is made up of a Chairman, Vice Chair of Administration, Vice Chair of Planning, Vice Chair of Financial Development, Treasurer, Secretary, and up to three members of the board appointed by the Chairman who are at-large members of the Committee. Each board member also serves on a Strategic Plan Task Force. These task forces review and monitor progress toward achieving strategic council goals, recommending adjustments to the goals as necessary. The task force members work closely with staff to assist in solving problems and identifying barriers related to the council’s strategic plan.
