Fort Worth, TX (January 10, 2019) – Whitley Penn Tax Partner, Christy Cates has been selected to join the President’s Advisory Board at Texas Wesleyan University.
Cates has more than 15 years of public accounting experience focused on tax planning and consulting for individuals and private companies. Her experience focuses on clients primarily in the energy, real estate, family groups, and not-for-profit industries.
Cates is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She serves as a Board Member for the Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth and previously served in a leadership role on the Board of Directors for the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. Cates was named to 2014 40 Under 40 List by the Fort Worth Business Press, and she received the Rising Star award from the Texas Society of CPAs.
