Dallas, TX – (February 1, 2016) – Whitley Penn is pleased to announce that Jim Penn, founder of Whitley Penn and Partner in Charge of the Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Services practice, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Penn has been a supporter of the hospital for more than 40 years and is honored to now be a member of the Board of Directors.
“I admire the work and mission of the hospital, trying to give children back a normal life through treatment and research regardless of a family’s ability to pay, and am excited to serve on the Board of Directors,” stated Penn.
In 1977, Penn led fundraising efforts for all 100 chapters of DeMolay in Texas for the Hospital. In his role as State Master Councilor of DeMolay, he was instrumental in assisting the chapters with events including 40 hour dance marathons across the state to raise money for the Hospital.
Through Penn’s leadership, Whitley Penn has also supported the hospital over the years.
