Kris Dillon Joins Whitley Penn as Audit Managing Director

Austin, TX (October 11, 2023) – Whitley Penn welcomes Kris Dillon as an Audit Managing Director in the firm’s Austin office.

Dillon has more than 20 years of Audit and Assurance experience in public accounting and five years of experience working for a large, multi-branch financial institution. She has worked with a variety of clients, specifically serving financial institutions, with a focus on community bank portfolios. Her performance in audits has included opining on internal controls under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act (FDICIA) and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements. She has also directed and developed Sarbanes-Oxley processes which consists of developing audit programs and serving as management’s liaison for both internal and external auditors.

Dillon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), and Baylor University’s Women’s Council in Austin.

Dillon received her BBA in Accounting and Finance from Baylor University. Dillion is married to Chris Dillon and has two sons, the oldest being a first year student at Baylor University and the youngest is a first year student at Bastrop High School.
