Houston, TX (June 19, 2023) – Jake Morris, Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) Partner, and Kendall Jones, Marketing Manager, have joined the 2023 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Big Climb Houston Executive Committee.
The Big Climb is a fundraising challenge where participants climb the stairs of an iconic building in their local community to raise critical funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Morris has more than 13 years of experience in the accounting industry, including six in public accounting and four as a controller. He has fine-tuned his accounting knowledge throughout his career by focusing on personnel/department management and leadership, banking relationships, month-end procedures and reconciliations, financial statement presentation and analysis, budgeting/forecasting, evaluation of financial ratios, debt compliance, and development/analysis of financial reports. Morris excels at improving client relationships and is a highly skilled communicator who strives for maximum transparency between his team and the people they serve.
Morris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University and his M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Houston.
Jones has more than four years of experience in marketing at Whitley Penn. Collaborating with the marketing team and key stakeholders, she focuses on managing the digital marketing presence of the firm (including website design and strategy, internal intranet design and strategy, SEO strategy, as well as analytics reporting, and CRM build and deployment). Jones also leads Whitley Penn’s team of nine marketing professionals alongside Kristen Lollar, Chief Marketing Officer and Ashton Adair, Marketing Manager. She consistently supports the firm with her growth mindset, innovative ideas, effervescent personality, and driven work ethic.
Jones is a member of the Association of Accounting Marketing (AAM), the Boomer Consulting Marketing Circle, and the American Marketing Association (AMA) Houston Chapter. She received her B.B.A in Marketing and Management from Baylor University.
