Ailene Comple Makalintal Graduates from Fort Bend Leadership Forum

Houston, TX (May 30, 2023) – Ailene Comple Makalintal, Public Sector Senior Manager, has graduated from the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Leadership Forum.

Throughout the forum, participants study the qualities that make a community leader, analyze leadership roles, and develop personal leadership styles and skills. The class of 2023 represents the 35th year that a group of outstanding individuals have participated in this rigorous program of leadership development and community engagement through active learning, expert insight, and experiential activities. The class participants are selected each year from a wide spectrum of the area’s population. The class of 2023 completed the program in Galveston on May 12, 2023.

Comple Makalintal is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), has over 6 years of experience in general accounting and more than eleven years of experience providing audit services to various governmental entities, including counties, cities, school districts, other special-purpose governments and not-for-profit organizations administering large amounts of federal and state grant awards. She also has extensive knowledge of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirements under the Uniform Grant Guidance. Comple Makalintal is responsible for all aspects of the assurance process including planning, internal control evaluation, risk assessment, fieldwork, report issuance, and engagement closure. She reviews Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports that have been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, and in addition she passed the AICPA’s Advanced Single Audit Certification exam.

Comple Makalintal is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and Houston Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

She received her M.B.A. from the University of Texas – Pan American and her B.S. in Accountancy from University of Santo Tomas.
