John Williamson, CPA-CITP, CIA, CFE, CISA Earns CITP ® Credential

Dallas, TX (March 25, 2021) – Risk Advisory Services Partner, John Williamson CPA-CITP, CIA, CFE, CISA has earned the Certified Information Technology Professional credential from the AICPA.

Williamson maintains experience in public accounting, internal audit and enterprise risk management. His practice emphasis is in operational and technology risk management, Systems and Organization Control (SOC) 1, 2, and 3 reporting, SOC for Cybersecurity, internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) consulting, business process optimization, compliance attestation, and information technology consulting. Much of his work involves collaborating with management teams on identifying and evaluating organizational strategic objectives and actively managing risks that threaten the success of those objectives. He frequently works with senior management and audit committees involving governance and risk advisory related matters.

Williamson currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Dallas Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), where he advocates for the internal audit profession, internal control optimization, and best practices in corporate governance.

Williamson graduated with a B.M. from Southern Methodist University, a M.S. in accounting from Rice University, and a M.M. in accounting and information management from the University of Texas at Dallas.

The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP ®) credential was established for CPAs with the unique ability to bridge between business and technology while meeting the strict requirements for a CPA license, as well as additional training and experience in IT assurance, risk, security and privacy, analytics and technology. In order to obtain the credential, you must pass the CITP Exam. The exam requirement is waived for candidates who have passed ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA®) certification exam.
