Amanda Beabout Receives 2020 Women Who Mean Business Award

Houston, TX (August 25, 2020) – Amanda Beabout, Audit Senior Manager, was chosen to receive the 2020 Women Who Mean Business award from the Houston Business Journal. This award honors women across the Houston area for their achievement in various fields such as finance, energy, law, hospitality and more. Hundreds of women applied and 96 were chosen to be this year’s recipients.

Beabout currently serves as the President of the Women’s Finance Exchange – Houston Chapter, and serves on the Accountancy Advisory Board for the University of Houston which determines curriculum for upcoming students. She also represents the firm at numerous recruiting events, leads new hire training, and helps lead and plan the firm’s women initiative called ENGAGE (Empowering a New Generation to Advance Grow & Excel) for the Houston office. Beabout’s consistent strive for excellence is evident in her role as a senior manager, in the positions she holds in various organizations, and her ability to run multiple marathons over the last few years.

“We are excited to have Amanda receive this award. Her position on the audit team is instrumental in our success as a whole, and she constantly searches for more opportunities to better the city we live in. We look forward to all that she will accomplish throughout her career in the years to come,” stated Nathen McEown, Partner-in-Charge of the Houston. “Her dedication to client service and commitment to educating others, is unmatched.”

In this unique time, Beabout remains in constant communication with her team, knowing that reaching out to everyone individually is key to finding success as a whole. She aims to help each team member remember that they are of great value to the organization at large, and has encouraged designing a work schedule around what makes you as successful as you can be as an individual.
