Houston, TX (May 20, 2020) – Ailene Comple-Makalintal, an Audit Manager in Whitley Penn’s Public Sector group, has earned the Advanced Single Audit Certificate from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
Comple-Makalintal has more than eight years of audit public accounting experience working with clients in the following industries: school districts, institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, and other large governments administering large amounts of federal and state grant awards.

Comple-Makalintal received a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas and an M.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas – Pan American. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the Houston Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

This program provides a way for audit practitioners to demonstrate their competencies surrounding single audit engagements and to distinguish themselves in the marketplace. The program consists of an intensive exam as well as optional courses at both the intermediate and advanced levels.
